This townhome in Carroll Gardens needed a gut renovation after engineers determined that nearly all of the existing wood joists were badly cracked. We took this opportunity to rebuild the entire structure out of steel, raising the height of the top floor, and extending a curtain glass wall out the back. With all new construction we used reveal bead to make recessed corners, forgoing traditional crown and casing moldings, and making a crisp clean perimeter. Interior design by Coco Kanakis and paintings by Tim Steele.
